With the goal of adding value to the future of the Earth, Koton has launched the Respect Water collection in the spring-summer 2021 season together with the World Record Holder Free Diver and National Athlete and UNDP Turkey’s Life Below Water Advocate Sahika Ercumen. With the concept of “respect for water” in the collection, Koton uses eco-friendly production techniques, aiming to protect every drop of water. 10,783,000 liters of water has been saved in 5 seasons so far with the collection, which was prepared entirely with eco-friendly materials and production techniques. Thanks to the innovative production techniques, 823 thousand kilograms less carbon emissions were achieved and 721,694 plastic bottles were recycled with fabrics produced. Sewing threads and other accessories of the products were also selected from natural and eco-friendly products in the collection, in which leather from apple peel, organic cotton, BCI-certified cotton, Lenzing Ecovero Viscose fabrics that are recycled and are certified with 50 percent water consumption are used.
